Ride over Independence Pass

Albuquerque – Espanola – Alamosa – Creede – Lake City – Gunnison – Buena Vista – Aspen – Carbondale – Montrose – Ouray – Silverton – Bloomfield – Albuquerque

Ride through the mountains of Colorado with overnight stays in Gunnison and Ouray–North on I 25 to NM 599, then north on US 285 to US 160, then west on Us 160 to CO 149, then north on CO 149 to US 50, then east on US 50 to US 285, then north on US 24, then north on US 24 to CO 82, then east on CO 82 over the Independence Pass to CO 135, then south on CO 133 to CO 92, then west on CO 92 to US 50, then south on US 50 to US 550, then south on US 550 to I 25, then south on I 25 to Albuquerque.

The ride was 990 miles with a saddle time of 20 hours

Ride to the Gunnison

Albuquerque – Navajo Lake – Durango – Silverton – Montrose – Gunnison – Crested Butte – Lake City – Creede – Blue Creek Lodge – Alamosa – Madrid – Albuquerque

Ride to Gunnison with overnight at the KOA, then overnight at Blue Creek Lodge—Took I 25 north to US 550, then north om US 550 to NM 537, then north on NM 537 to US 64, then west on US 64 to NM 539, then north to the damn, then north on NM 511 to Durango, then north on US 550 to Montrose, then east on US 50 to Gunnison, end of first day. North on CO 135 to Crested Butte, then back to Gunnison, then west on US 50 to CO 149, then south to the Blue Creek Lodge end of day two. East on CO 149 to US 160, then east on US 160 to Alamosa, then south on US 285 to NM 599, then south on NM 599 to NM 14, south on NM 14 to I 40, then west on I 40 to Albuquerque.

The ride was 870 miles with a saddle time of 17 1/2 hours.

Ride to South Fork Co — Logger Days

Albuquerque – Chama – South Fork – Alamosa – Espanola – Albuquerque

Ride to South Fork’s Logger Days with breakfast in Chama and a Cinnamon roll in Alamosa—-Took I-25 north to NM 599, then around Santa Fe to US 84, took US 84 north to US 160, took US 160 east to Alamosa, then south on US 285 back to NM 599 and south on I-25 back to Albuquerque.

The ride was 505 miles with a saddle time of 9 hours.
