Ride to Devil’s Tower and Mount Rushmore

This was a four day ride from August 23-26 2012

Day One-8/23-Albuquerque – Espanola – Alamosa – Fairplay – Denver – Loveland – Wheatland – Douglas

Day one- ride was 645  miles with a saddle time of 11 1/2 hours

Day Two-8/24-Douglas – Gillette – Moorecroft – Devil’s Tower – Belle Fourche – Spearfish – Spearfish Canyon – Lead – Keystone

Day two- ride was 308  miles with a saddle time of 6 hours

Day Three-8/25-Keystone – Mount Rushmore – Custer – Lusk – Torrington – Fort Morgan – Limon – Colorado Springs – Canon City

Day three- ride was 563  miles with a saddle time of 12 hours

Day Four-8/26-Canon City – Salida – Alamosa – Santa Fe – Albuquerque

Ride over Independence Pass

Albuquerque – Espanola – Alamosa – Creede – Lake City – Gunnison – Buena Vista – Aspen – Carbondale – Montrose – Ouray – Silverton – Bloomfield – Albuquerque

Ride through the mountains of Colorado with overnight stays in Gunnison and Ouray–North on I 25 to NM 599, then north on US 285 to US 160, then west on Us 160 to CO 149, then north on CO 149 to US 50, then east on US 50 to US 285, then north on US 24, then north on US 24 to CO 82, then east on CO 82 over the Independence Pass to CO 135, then south on CO 133 to CO 92, then west on CO 92 to US 50, then south on US 50 to US 550, then south on US 550 to I 25, then south on I 25 to Albuquerque.

The ride was 990 miles with a saddle time of 20 hours

Ride to the Sandoval County Fair in Cuba

Albuquerque – Cuba – Abiquiu Lake – White Rock – Jemez Springs – Albuquerque

Ride to Cuba NM for the Sandoval County Fair and parade, then back home the long way—Started north on I 25 to US 550, then north to Cuba and the fair, then north on NM 96 to Abiquiu Lake, then east on US 84 to US 285, then south on US 285 to NM 30, then south on NM 30 to NM 502, then west on NM 502 to NM 4, then south on NM 4 to US 550, then south on US 550 to I-25, then south on I 25 to Albuquerque

The ride was 290 miles with a saddle time of 6 hours.
